About Ahava By Ny'zaiyah

"Made to Uplift. Designed to Empower.”

Ahava By Ny'zaiyah

Ahava By Ny’zaiyah is a handcrafted, African-inspired jewelry brand rooted in culture, creativity, and self-expression. Established in August 2014 and proudly based in Huntsville, Alabama, we are a Black-owned and operated online business committed to honoring the beauty and richness of African heritage through wearable art.

At Ahava, nothing is curated—we design everything by hand with intention and authenticity. Our collections feature Afrocentric loc beads, earrings, nose cuffs, necklaces, bracelets, waist beads, and anklets. While our pieces are primarily designed for women, we also create distinctive jewelry for men.

Our materials are thoughtfully sourced to celebrate African culture and natural beauty. We work with African trade beads, African brass beads and pendants, semi-precious stones, wood and shell beads, African batik bone beads, and metals like raw brass, pure copper, sterling silver, and select plated finishes.

We are proudly size inclusive, and always have been. Every body deserves adornment.
At the heart of Ahava By Ny’zaiyah is a mission: to uplift and inspire. We want our customers to feel empowered, connected, and proud of the culture they carry. Every piece is made with love, heritage, and purpose—meant to be worn boldly and beautifully.

Meet Ny'zaiyah

She is a calming presence, a Vibe, a Daughter of The Most High, a Mother to her Son, a Lover to her King — the heart and hands behind the African-inspired jewelry brand, Ahava by Ny’zaiyah.

Ny’zaiyah, born Aspon Johnson, is a Texas-born, Louisiana-raised creative now rooted in Alabama, where Ahava by Ny’zaiyah came to life. Raised by a fiercely creative mother — a jewelry designer and constant source of inspiration — it was only natural that Ny’zaiyah would one day follow in her footsteps, crafting her own legacy through adornment.

From a young age, Ny’zaiyah was captivated by the vibrant colors, bold patterns, and deep symbolism woven into African jewelry. For her, designing is more than art — it’s a sacred way to honor her mother’s legacy, celebrate heritage, and express soul-deep creativity.
What began as a personal passion has blossomed into a purpose-driven brand: one rooted in ancestral reverence, self-expression, and the spirit of the African Diaspora.

“Every piece of jewelry I design tells a story — a blend of traditional roots and modern refinement, made with care, intention, and pride. Whether you’re reconnecting with your roots or embracing the culture for the first time, you are welcome here.”
